Dalmatian is a large, strong and muscular breed of dogs from Dalmatia, Croatia who is renowned for its white coat with black or brown spots. Dalmatians are also known by few other names such as Carriage Dogs, Firehouse Dogs, Plum Pudding Dogs, and Spotted Coach Dogs. The skull is almost as wide as it is long and flat on the top. Muzzle and skull are of the same length. The eyes are medium round in brown or blue color. Ears are high-set, hanging down and gradually taper to a rounded tip. The feet are round with arched toes. The overall appearance is a well-built, and elegant.





Dalmatians have a short, fine and dense coat and the most common colors of coats are white with black or brown spots. They weight around 35-70 pounds and their height is about 19-24 inches. Dalmatian is one of the most loyal and active breeds of dogs. They easily mix with other pets including horses and make an excellent companion dog especially for families that have different pets at their homes. They love affection indoors but like to go out on walk or run with the owners. Being an active type of dog, Dalmatian should not be left along for longer periods. Basset Hound is a dog breed from France that is popular due to its short legs. Basset is a scent hound and it is bred for hunting rabbits by scent. They have an excellent sense of scent next only to the bloodhounds. Although short-legged but Basset Hound is a relatively heavy dog with large head and rounded skull. Basset Hound is a sweet tempered dog with affectionate, friendly and loving nature with human beings. Airedale Terrier or simply Airedale is a breed of Terrier dogs and the name Airedale comes from the place Airedale, a geographical region in Yorkshire, England. Airdale terrier is also often known as "King of Terriers', as it was the largest of all the terriers until a new larger breed known as Black Russian Terrier was developed by NKVD, a famous Secret Police Organization of the Soviet Union during the era of Stalin. Airdale was originally bred to hunt otters in the valleys of the River Ire in Airdale and due to which it is also known as Waterside Terrier. Besides being a hunting dog, in many countries including England Airedale is also used as Police Dog.





Although large Airedales weighing up to 55 kg are also found in some parts of the world but an average male generally weighs 25-30 kg and stands tall at around 60 cm (24 inches), female Airedales being slightly smaller. The coat of Airdale is black and tan with a harsh overcoat and a soft undercoat. The coat is hard, wiry, dense and medium length and lies close to the body. Most of the Airdale dogs are used as working dogs and hunting dogs because of their extraordinary speed of chasing animals, abilities to hunt independently and alertness.

Afghan hound is an ancient sight hound breed of dog. Its origin lie in Afghanistan and it has nicknames of Baluchi, Baluchi Hound and Kabuli Hound. Afghan hound possesses great speed and ability to cover long distances effortlessly like greyhound dogs. The breed has acquired its unique features in the cold mountains of Afghanistan. Afghan hound was used to hunt hares and gazelles by coursing the preys.



It has a long, naturally silky, finely textured and profuse coat that comes in many colors. Coat requires special care and attention for its proper maintenance. Its head is long and narrow and muzzle is tapered. Eyes are calm, intelligent, dark, prominent and triangular. Tail is long, thin and tapered. Ears are long and set across from the eyes.
